Events  for Labor Day Weekend Sept 2010

1. Events times and locations subject to change check the schedule board at registration for current information.
2. “Participation in all events (except children 11 and under) will require primitive dress, including period footwear”.
3. Primitive demonstrations will be held throughout each day of the rendezvous at Bridger’s Stockade and at the primitive food court.
4. “All Participants in any of the shoots must be in period dress to participate”. (This means including period foot ware)

Friday, Sept. 3

Flag Ceremony: 8 a.m. at flagpole
Native American Dancers: 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at bandstand
Mountain Man story teller “Woodman” watch for him anytime during the day and any location
Children’s candy cannon: Noon at parade grounds
Warm Up/Fun Shoot: 1 p.m. at shooting range
Hawk & Knife Open Throw: 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. each day; $5.00 entry fee at registration
Primitive Archery: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. near shooting range
Dog Soldier Meeting: 5 p.m. at Dog Soldier Tent
Flag Retrieval: 6 p.m. at flagpole
Trader’s Meeting: 7 p.m. at bandstand

Saturday, Sept. 4

Flag Ceremony: 8 a.m. at flagpole
Combined Shoot: 8 a.m. at shooting range
Hawk & Knife Open Throw: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. each day; $5.00 entry fee at registration
Mountain Man story teller “Woodman” watch for him anytime during the day and any location
Primitive Archery: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. near shooting range
Children’s Games: 10 a.m. at parade grounds (Primitive clothing required)
Dutch oven Cooking Contest: 10 a.m. sign-up at registration;
12 – 12:30 p.m. pick up food item; 5 p.m. judging east side of stockade
Women’s & Youth Shoot: (for the rifle)
10:30 a.m. at shooting range; $10 additional entry fee required for women. Youth ages 12-16 must have parent or legal guardian present at range. All shoot “from the bag”
Native American Dancers: 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. at bandstand
Men’s Shoot: (for the rifle) 12:30 p.m. at range; $10 additional entry fee required. All shooting “from the bag”
Children’s Candy Cannon: Noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the parade grounds
Early Fur Trade Demos: American Long Rifle Association:
Noon -3 p.m. Location on the trial to the shooting range
Kids’ Trader Blanket: 4 p.m. at flagpole
Galloway Highlanders: 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. march-thru; 5 p.m. in front of the museum
Parent/Child Egg Cooking Contest: 1 p.m. at new guardhouse
Women’s Frying Pan Toss: 2 p.m. at parade grounds
Mountain Man Run: 3 p.m. at range
Historical Lecture by Fred Gowans: 4 p.m. at the bandstand
Council Fire: 6 p.m. at bandstand
Flag retrieval: 6 p.m. at flagpole
Buckskinner’s Ball: 7 p.m. at bandstand,

Combined Shoots: 9 a.m. at shooting range
Hawk & Knife Blanket Throw: 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Near shooting range; bring a $10 item
Women’s & Youth Shoots: 11 a.m. at shooting range
